About the Role
Location: Torrance, CA and/or Long Beach, CA
Shift: 8 hour shift from M-F
Pay: $30.00/HR
Job duties include:
Support the crew members of the vessel fbr service requests when the vessel enters the port.
Confirms the presence or absence of problems in the system to transmit electricity from the land to the vessel.
Checks the equipment for distributing electricity to the entire vessel.
Performs troubleshooting and/or support as necessary.
Performs repairs when required.
Conduct on-site inspections and maintenance to ensure the electricity system transmission when required.
Develops accurate service reports upon completion of services and/or support.
Submit service reports to the Chief Engineer in a timely manner.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in engineering or equivalent from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and related experience is preferred.
One to three years of experience in a field-related role.
Driver's license
Driving is required as necessary. Domestic Business Travel is required as needed.
"Switch Board" or "Switch Engineer" related experience is a plus
