About the Role
Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA
Shift: Monday to Friday; 8:30am to 5:30pm + overtime (30minutes – 1 hour per day) Compensation: $19.00 - $24.00/HR (non-exempt) + benefits
Job duties include:
Product development (90%) and research (10%) at a food manufacturing facility
Develop new/improved version of products
Create recipes using database
Formulate multiple raw materials (weight, heat, blend, etc)
Draft/convert standards and manufacturing procedures for mass production based on prototype recipes; adjust such procedures from test runs
Carry out market research on both products and raw materials, including but not limited to effects, functions, pricing, new findings and market trends
Perform other duties when instructed, including lifting and moving raw material weighing 50lbs
Requirements
Must be bilingual in Japanese/EnglishPast experience in food manufacturing preferred but entry level applicants are welcome
Must have strong interest in food and cooking/formulating methods
Ability to communicate with other department and members, valuing teamwork
Ability to think logically and problem solv
