About the Role
Location: Torrance, CA
Shift: Monday to Friday; 9am - 5:30pm
Compensation: $25-30/h (DoE) + benefits
Main responsibilities are:
I. MARKETING STRATEGY/PRODUCT PROMOTION
Ø Marketing Strategy and Sales Support
Assists Marketing Manager in the development of both long-term and short-term marketing strategy.
Researches, collects, and analyzes data on customer and industrial preferences, needs and buying habits to identify potential markets as well as factors affecting products demand.
Gathers data on competitors and analyze their prices, sales and method of marketing and distribution.
Ø Product Promotion
Works closely with the Sales Team to develop, prioritize and implement tactical project plans, including promotional items/programs that help build sales to conduct product promotions.
Reviews the result of promotional activities and makes improvements.
Prepares presentation materials to the clients.
Arranges sample items for clients.
Ensures that all promotions are in accordance with the Company strategy.
Responsible for handling the inquiries regarding raw materials of the products as well as regulation requirement with manufacture.
Handles and gathers necessary information regarding customer complaints related to the quality of the products inquired by the sales personnel; communicates and shares information with the manager for the resolution to ensure customer satisfaction; reports the findings to the sales personnel.
II. Quality Control
Audit support for overseas supplier factories as an U.S. importer, including reporting and documentation for FDA.
Collaborates with FDA auditors and headquarters to assist in meeting their requirements.
Supports updating facility registrations & submitting new registrations.
Conducts research on legal regulations pertaining to the usage of products within the designated sales area.
Coordinates and processes applications and registrations of import certificates required for importing products into the United States, in accordance with USDA regulations.
Requirements
EDUCATIONAL
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Marketing related work for more than 1 year preferred
English is the primary language. Interest in Japanese culture or Japanese bilingual is a plus but not required.
