About the Role

Location: Los Angeles, CA Industry: Logistics Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm Compensation: $18.00 - 22.00/HR~ + benefits


Job duties include:


  • Receive cargo orders from customers

  • Negotiate with airlines for space and rates

  • Provide customers with booking information or any other information requested

  • Familiarize with the products you are handling (IE, required temperature and etc.)

  • Ensure cargo comes as customer order it, including time, quantity, etc.

  • Maintain airlines cutoffs and plan accordingly

  • Accurately make documentation such as AWBs, Phytos and IE/TEs

  • Trace cargo even after tendering; ensure cargo departs (and check connection flight if

  • applicable) according to customers request

  • Immediately report to superior; follow up and present solutions if there are any irregularities

  • Maintain and complete files, invoice and send out as soon as possible.

  • Answer phone calls from customers/vendors/offices

  • Daily contact with US Customs, USDA and other government agencies

  • Familiarize and adhere to various regulations such as TSA, IATA, AES

  • Handle customer’s needs, complaints and provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits

  • Perform safety precautions to keep safe environment

  • Works as team by supporting beyond your duties as needed

Requirements

  • Past experience in logistics/export operations is highly preferred

  • Strong PC and MS office skills

  • Punctual attendance and reliable individual

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to follow instructions given by superiors while also able to work independently

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Japanese is a plus!
