About the Role

Location: Cypress, CA

Shift: Monday to Friday; 8AM to 5PM

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00/HR (DoE); non-exempt + benefits Employment Status: Full-Time; Direct-Hire


  • Enter financial transactions into our internal databases and perform cost variance analysis

  • Reconcile account balances and prepare reports

  • Assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions and fixing processing errors

  • Assist accounting department with month-end closing, reporting and analysis

  • Process office equipment purchases (i.e., laptops, computers, cellular phones)

  • Maintain fixed assets records, equipment inventory and maintenance

  • Assist with audit and provide required documentation

  • Conduct orientation and training sessions for new employees

  • Maintain integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records; perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately

  • Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries; answer frequently asked questions from employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring process, etc. refers more complex questions to management

  • Assist with policy formulation and benefits administration

  • Assist and plan special events such as benefits enrollment, organization meetings, holiday parties, etc.

  • Maintain a manual of how to process individual tasks

  • Identify areas of improvement and work with supervisor to maximize efficiency in the office workflow

  • Perform other project as needed or tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting or related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience

  • 2-3 years of proven accounting/bookkeeping experience

  • 1-2 years of human resources or general business experience

  • Ability to analyze financial records

  • Strong PC and MS Office (Word, Excel) skills

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Accurate and precise attention to detail

  • Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets and financial reports
