About the Role

Location: Santa Monica, CA* (Hybrid: 2 days minimum at the office; remote for the remainder)*May be asked to work at the warehouse in the South Bay area on occasion

Shift: Shift: Monday to Friday; can choose from the following shifts (fixed for 6 months):8:30am to 5:15pm / 9:30am to 6:15pm / 11:00am to 7:45pm (45 minute lunch)

Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000/YR (DoE); + benefits

Job duties include:

  • Inventory control and management of import/export products

  • Act as point of contact for dealers and the head office overseas, and manage sales and receipts of inventory

  • Inbound product tracking and delivery arrangements

  • Assist with determining which products to sell at retailers (including major US corporate accounts) and e-commerce shops; determine pricing and promotional products

  • Manage status of sales from e-commerce and stores/wholesalers

  • General office work such as creating and submitting reports to head office overseas

  • Business trip to out of state warehouse at the end of the year for inventory

  • Participate and attend anime/toy conventions 4-5 times a year

  • Confirming products to be sold at the conventions, arranging delivery to the venue, and arranging shipping of unsold products after the event

  • Subsequent inventory adjustment and follow-up

  • General event coordination and preparation of booths

Requirements

  • Must be bilingual in English/Japanese

  • Must have past experience with inventory management/control

  • Past experience and knowledge in the anime industry is highly preferred

  • Strong team spirit and ability to work well with others

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Great PC and Microsoft Office skills

  • Must be available for business trips/travel

  • Must have valid driver’s license

  • Strong with numbers and attentive to details

  • Conflict resolution and ability to make decisions
