About the Role
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000/YR (DoE) + benefits
Employment Status: Full-Time; Direct-Hire
Serve as a liaison among restaurants, NY office, and LA Restaurant Support Center by answering HR related inquiries and solving issues, and bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
Protect the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company human resources policies and government laws and regulation
Conduct necessary updates on Handbook/company policies to ensure legal compliances with the assistance of Director of Human Resources and legal specialist
Initiate and conduct with periodical HR related seminars with store managers in order to improve employees' mutual understanding of HR related regulations, local, state and federal laws
Maintain personnel files for all new hires and current staff with special care of confidentiality
Coordinate with managers to handle employee relations and assist with counseling, investigation, disciplinary actions, etc.
Assist with administering benefits program such as enrollment, terminations and changes
Assist LA Restaurant Support Center with payroll related duties, such as PTO tracking and contribution administration (Commuters Benefit, 401K, etc.)
Offer proactive recruiting assistance to restaurant managers
Account Payable, Account Receivable, and other accounting functions
Prepare periodical reports and create reports for Accounting, HR, and administrative purpose
Assist with providing monthly reports to LA Restaurant Support Center for Month End Closing
Assist with making and correcting entries of Purchase Journals and update Inventory sheet coordinated with store managements and LA Restaurant Support Center
Maintain confidentiality of company information, records and documents
Maintain Emergency contacts and procedures updated all time. Also, maintain all Emergency kit ready all time
Assist with management and executives’ expense reports and reimbursements
Arrange and reserve management, executives, partners, brand owners and other guests’ accommodation, flight, car service and dining
Assist District Manager with preparing annual budget for LA Restaurant Support Center operation
Office Administrative work (Ordering supplies, handle shipping/mailing)
Works closely with the HR Director and District Manager and performs other duties as assigned by them.
Requirements
Must be bilingual in Japanese/English
Must have proven work experience in Accounting, Human Resources and/or Administration
Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills plus the ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees
Must demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving
Must show self-initiation to work with minimal supervision
Must be organized with heavy volume of work in concentrated periods of time
Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with ADP and/or Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationship with business vendors, restaurant employees, and other management members
In compliance with any local laws and ordinances as required
