About the Role
Location: Honolulu, HI
Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000/YR (DoE) + benefits
Employment Status: Full-Time; Direct-Hire
Research new wholesale food suppliers and negotiate prices
Calculate future needs in kitchenware and equipment and place orders, as needed
Manage and store vendors’ contracts and invoices
Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff
Prepare shift schedules
Process payroll for all restaurant staff
Supervise kitchen and wait staff and provide assistance, as needed
Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues
Arrange for new employees’ proper onboarding (scheduling trainings and ordering uniforms)
Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus
Requirements
Must be bilingual in Japanese/English
Must have at least 5 years of restaurant management experience, preferably with a full-service restaurant
Understanding of P&L operations
Ability to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
Possess good written and verbal communications skills
Ability to train, develop and lead a team to attainment of store and company goals
Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks such as food, beverage and labor cost while maintaining required standards of operation in daily restaurant activities.
