Japanese Bilingual Sales Assistant (1048)

About the Role

  • Receive orders from customers in South East Asia and possibly Japan

  • Place orders with vendors

  • Communicates with customers, guests and vendors by corresponding via telephone, memos, letters, e-mail, fax and announcements in a professional manner

  • Negotiates price, volume, payment terms etc with customers in Japan, vendors, forwarders and shipping lines etc, and arranges shipments

  • Manage logistics with vendors, forwarders, trucking companies and shipping lines

  • Arrange all necessary shipping documents such as invoices, B/Ls, Phytosanitary Certificates, Certificates of Origin, and Packing Lists etc

  • Update shipping summary

  • Inspect fruits when required at fields and packinghouses

  • Coordinate inspections for fruits with inspector

  • Communicate with other departments for A/P and A/R input

  • Provide customers with all necessary information on timely basis


  • Bilingual in Japanese/English

  • Past experience in sales assistant is a plus

  • Strong marketing proficiency and customer service skills

  • Strong PC and MS office skills

  • Great organizational and time management skills

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
