About the Role

Location: Studio City, CA

Shift: Must be available to work weekends, some holidays and both day/night shift

Compensation: $75,000/YR + 15% bonus + benefits


Job duties include:

  • Oversee all kitchen activities; Supervise hourly team members in accordance with operating policies and standards

  • Work with team members to ensure impeccable food presentation and proper HACCP food handling procedures; Follow the company recipe for all food items.

  • Plan for and manage kitchen team member schedules to ensure daily schedules are in line

  • Control kitchen labor to meet or exceed standards

  • Inspect food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times

  • Maintain a system of cost controls through purchasing and sales

  • Estimate food and beverage needs and requisitions or purchases produce, meats, poultry, fish and seafood, supplies, beverages, and equipment

  • Receive and check incoming orders to ensure they adhere to specifications

  • Supervise weekly inventories and estimates and controls food and beverage costs

  • Supervise cleaning and maintenance of equipment and arranges for repairs, contracts and other services; Engages in preventive maintenance tactics to keep equipment and facilities clean, and in good working order

  • Recruit, interview, select, orientate and train qualified team members following company training validation standards

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager or Head Chef

  • Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients

  • Knowledge of a wide range of recipes

  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Conflict management abilities

  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment

  • Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends

  • Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus
