About the Role
Location: Irvine, CA Shift: Monday to Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000/YR (Exempt)+ benefits *Please let us know your desired salary
Job duties include:
Travel through assigned territory to visit Club Channel and other US Retail Grocery Store Supermarket Chain brokers and retail establishments to promote the sale of company products and develop new markets
Make initial contacts with key personnel of targeted customers and builds a strong business rapport.
Display, demonstrate, present and/or distribute samples, emphasizing salable features of the products and introducing new products at customers’ sites
Provide assistance in stocking customers’ shelves, checking for spoilage and out-of-date products, and setting up POP or customer display
Coordinate and negotiate ideal store display space with Management of retail establishments
Discuss market opportunities with brokers and Management of retail establishments and obtains market trends and sales volume
Provide prompt and excellent service to customers by coordinating customers’ requests and inquiries
Receive and review returned, damaged and expired items and creates credit memos
Handle business inquiries by phone, facsimile and e-mail: investigates and resolves customer problems
Work with brokers to share market and customer information and develop good business rapport
Prepare and attend trade shows and marketing events to promote the sale of company products
Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel
Provide advice and supports the company’s headquarters in Japan, the plant in Thailand as well as Marketing department regarding new product development based on clients’ needs
Develop and maintain sales forecast utilizing sales data, business plan information and works with Supply Chain Management department to maintain and manage inventory levels
Ensure to collect all A/R and follows up with customers when the payment is late
Gather information from SPS system to track sales
Compile and analyze IRI data to forecast sales trend and presents actionable information and insights to Management
File invoices and other accounting related documents to the Company’s invoice folder.
Timely prepare and submit reports, including weekly activity logs, sales forecasting and status reports, meeting reports, business trip reports, expense reports, etc.
Work with the Head of Sales to set product price with consideration of the profit
Provide training to sales employees as per the Head of Sales’ request
Work with the Head of Sales to develop sales budget and strategic sales plan
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or equivalent
Must have 5 years of national sales experience in Food Industry
Past experience in the food industry and working Costco (and other club grocers)
Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
Must be available for local, domestic and international travel
