About the Role

Location: Irvine, CA Industry: Manufacturer (Food) Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000/YR (DoE) + benefits


Job duties include:


  • Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources

  • Visit retail establishments, such as supermarkets and grocery stores to promote the sale of company products

  • Display,demonstrate, present and/or distribute samples, emphasizing salable features of the products and introducing new products at customers’ sites

  • Provide assistance in stocking customers’ shelves, checking for spoilage and out-of-date products, and setting up POP or customer display

  • Coordinate and negotiate ideal store display space with management of retail establishments

  • Discuss market opportunities with management of retail establishments and obtain market trends and sales volume

  • Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of availability and delivery schedules

  • Provide prompt and excellent service to customers by coordinating customers’ requests and inquiries

  • Receive and review returned, damaged and expired items and create credit memos

  • Handle business inquiries by phone, facsimile and email, investigate and resolve customer problems

  • Work with wholesalers and distributors to share market and customer information and to develop good business rapport

  • Negotiate pricing with distributors and retail establishments

  • Develop and maintain sales forecast utilizing sales data, business plan information and work with Supply Chain Management department to maintain and manage inventory levels

  • Assure that the ordered products are delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company communicating with Supply Chain Management team

  • Collect sales data from customers, analyze them to identify market trends and present findings to Management

  • Propose, manage and implement promotions/campaigns

  • Seek suitable buyer/broker for the Company and negotiate with them to expand the market shares in assigned territory

  • Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel

  • Attend trade shows and marketing events to promote the sale of company products

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor/management

Requirements

  • Proven sales experience

  • Past experience in B2B sales with grocery stores are preferred

  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management

  • Computer use competency

  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

  • Self motivated and driven

  • Bilingual in Japanese/English; Chinese/English; Korean/English; Vietnamese/English is a plus!
