About the Role
Location: Torrance, CA
Shift: Monday to Friday; 9am - 5:30pm
Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000/YR~ (DoE) + benefits
Main responsibilities are:
Ø Sales Promotions
Contacts potential customers both in person by phone and by email on a daily basis.
Identifies sales prospects and contact them and other accounts as assigned.
Determines customers’ needs; plans a sales strategy to sell the products.
Responsible for developing the sales strategies for designated areas and updates the strategies frequently to match the management’s decisions.
Develops and maintains sales materials to be presented to the customers.
Conducts sales and technical presentations and introduces promotional products to both existing & potential customers
Develops sales relationship with customers by following up frequently.
Develops sales and action targets and submits monthly action plan; Actively implements the strategic sales plan accordingly.
Follows up on new leads and referrals resulting from sales activities.
Communicates with existing and potential customers seeking sales opportunities as well as identifying market trends.
Submits weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related (sales) activities; keeps the Management informed.
Responsible for reporting customer related activities frequently.
Recommends management for tradeshow/convention plans and preparation.
Develops greater knowledge and familiarity with the Company products and as well as industrial knowledge.
Ø Customer Service
Responsible for answering customers’ sales & technical questions and inquiries about the products.
Stays involved and works closely with customers for smooth transactions.
Provides information regarding current pricing, changes in service, and discontinuance of items.
Supports Shipping Team and/or communicates with customers if necessary.
Handles and gathers necessary information regarding customer complaints related to the quality of the products inquired, communicates and shares information with the manager for the resolution to ensure customer satisfaction.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Sales related work for more than 5 years preferred.
Food additives/Food BtoB sales experience is a plus
Must be able to do business trips, preparation for trade shows, and attending to trade shows
English is the primary language, but Japanese bilingual or an interest in Japanese culture is a big plus
