About the Role
Location: Torrance, CA Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00/HR (DoE); Non-Exempt + benefits
Job duties include:
Prepare product for shipment and receive materials from customers, vendors, and subsidiaries
Knowledgeable in all transaction screens required to create shipments and receipts, generate receiving documents, perform inquiries on purchase orders and sales orders, and make necessary modifications and corrections
May be asked to process repairs and outside services
Interface daily with Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service Representatives, and Engineering departments
May assist the Warehouse Manager or Shipping/Receiving Clerk in training new personnel
Proper packaging and handling techniques are required to prevent damage to parts and product
Assist in inventory count and updating company systems
Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
Wear the proper safety equipment
The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time
Requirements
Must have at least 1-2 years of warehouse and/or shipping/receiving experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Focused on resolving conflict
Strong PC skills
Familiarity with the UPS and Federal Express systems is required
Physically, the job demands that the Shipping/Receiving Clerk be on their feet constantly and be able to lift materials and containers up to 70 pounds
Bilingual in English/Japanese or English/Spanish is a plus!
